Eysins

The village of Eysins is located in the west of the Vaud canton. It is nesting at 437 m altitude, between Lake Geneva and the foothills of the Jura.
The Romans have left marks of their settlement in Eysins, as the waterworks testify.
The commune was called Oysissi in 1457, which means « charming land ».
The Olivier brothers (the novel writer named Urbain and the poet and historian named Juste). A monument has been erected in their honor. The coat of arms of Eysins also shows the enamels and roses of the Olivier family arms.

Since 10 generations the Olivier family farm their lands in Eysins.

Farming

The Domaine Les Perrettes stretches out on more than 50 ha of farming crops, vineyards, meadows and forest.

The main crops are wheat, rapeseed, sugarbeet, sunflower, soya, triticale and corn.

The Domaine is farmed according to the PER standards (Prestations Écologiques Requises, i.e. a set of requested environmental standards to be respected), also according to the IP Suisse standards (promoting sustainable farming practices which generate quality produce, replacing polluting and costly inputs using natural means and regulation systems close to those existing naturally). It is very important to us to respect the regional programs set up to protect and restore the biological diversity.

Vineyard

Le vineyard stretches out on more than 4 ha and is located on morainic soil which is particularly favorable for vine growing.

We grow 6 grape varieties of red vine and 1 of white vine (Gamay, Gamaret, Pinot Noir, Galota, Merlot, Mara and Chasselas).

The vineyard respects the standards of the Vinatura rules, which are based on principles of sustainable development.

We will be happy to accommodate parties, birthdays, work seminars or any other events which you may want to organize in our cellar.

Direct sale

You can also buy direct at our farm a selection of our products, from July to November (self-service at the farm entrance).

The Wines

We select our best harvests in collaboration with the Cave de La Côte in Nyon.

The oenologists of the Cave ensure that the best vine-making process is applied and corresponds to our requirements.

Chasselas

Grape variety: white vine typical of the French-speaking part of Switzerland.

This is the king of the grape varieties present on the stretch of coast along the Lake Geneva.

Appreciated for its fruityness, its freshness and its delicate taste, it is an aromatic vine with a discreet flower bouquet.

Gamay

Grape variety: light red, with low tannin, aromatic, very fruity and fresh.

This vine is a very good match to delicatessen and cheese.

It is a very versatile vine, also adequate to pair with exotic cuisine which is sometimes difficult to combine.

Rosé de Gamay

With its bright pink color and its refreshing aromas, it is the perfect vine to taste on a sunny day. Very fresh taste in mouth.

Mara

Grape variety: red, grown only in Switzerland.

Very colorful and robust, with aromas of black berries and spices. Its smooth tannins give a pleasant sensation of astringency and delicacy of the grape along with a beautiful volume in mouth.
